On the occasion of the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies in 2015 (IYL2015), the Italian Physical Society (SIF) is acting as “contact hub” for a number of national learned societies: Astronomical Society (SAIt), Optics and Photonics Society (SIOF), Synchrotron Light Society (SILS), Physics Teachers Society (AIF), History of Science Societies (SISS) and SISFA, etc. and of national research institutions: INFN, INAF, ASI, LENS, INRIM, CNR, INGV, Centro Fermi and others.
