La Rivista del Nuovo Cimento Status and perspectives of experimental studies on hypernuclear weak decays
E. Botta, T. Bressani, S. Bufalino and A. Feliciello
The existing pattern of data on lifetimes, partial decay widths for mesonic and non-mesonic decay (both one- and two-nucleon induced) and energy spectra and correlations of the emitted particles is reviewed and compared with existing theoretical predictions. Updated tables and plots summarizing the existing experimental information are presented. For each item a brief account of possible new experimental efforts, approved, planned or futuristic is given. Rare decay channels and polarization studies are also briefly analyzed.

Il Nuovo Cimento Selection of the best communications presented at the 100th National Congress of the Italian Physical Society
Pisa, 22-26 September 2014
This issue of Il Nuovo Cimento is dedicated to a selection of the best communications at the 100th National Congress of the Italian Physical Society, held in Pisa on 22-26 September 2014, by a number of young, talented members of the Society. The National Congress is a good occasion to prize these young physicists of different fields with a rapid on-line publication of their results in Il Nuovo Cimento. Moreover, since starting from this year the papers are published in Open Access, a wider distribution and a greater visibility is guaranteed.
