This year, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Enrico Fermi's Nobel Prize in Physics (1938), the SIF has decided to organise a new edition of the International Symposium "Passion for Physics" to be held in the beautiful Aula Fermi of Villa Monastero, in Varenna, Lake Como.

The focus will be on "multi-messenger research", ranging from the recent outstanding results of LIGO-Virgo, spanning over the current or future achievements of IceCube, KM3Net, Auger, EEE, DarkSide, LIMADOU, KAGRA, LISA ... and including talks on astronomical observations and theoretical reviews on cosmic rays, black holes and gravitation.

The Symposium is scheduled on 13-14 July 2018: save the date!
